Buy Playstation 3
The basic configuration of the console has a 20 GB internal hard drive. The "premium" version of the PlayStation 3 comes with an internal 60 GB 2.5" Serial ATA hard drive, IEEE 802.11b/g Wi-Fi connectivity, multiple flash memory card readers (SD/MultiMedia Card, CompactFlash, Memory Stick) and features a chrome-colored trim.[16] Both consoles feature a silver-colored text logo on the top face of the system. The hard drive is upgradeable, using the standard Serial ATA interface. No official Wi-Fi or flash memory card adapters have yet been released by Sony, although plans for such add-ons are in place.[17] Nevertheless, as both models feature four USB 2.0 ports, wireless networking and flash memory card support can already be obtained through the use of widely available external USB adapters. No high-definition video cables are included; instead, a composite video/stereo audio cable ships with the system. While Sony has released an official PS3 component cable, the official PS2 component cables are compatible with the PS3, as both consoles use the same AV Multi Out jack. The converse is true as well; official PS3 component cables work with the PS2.

Unlockable: How to Unlock:

Gaara as support character - Beat the game once.
Kakashi as support character - Beat the game once.
Shuriken pattern - Beat the game once.
Play Hints:
Keep an eye on the mini-radar on the right side of the screen. This indicator lets you know if enemies have moved behind Naruto and may be preparing an ambush from offscreen!
If the next available mission is a C or B rank mission but the one following that is a D rank mission, complete the D rank mission first. That way, Naruto is better prepared for greater challenges!
When exploring environments during a mission, look for treasure chests in out of the way places. Smash them open to obtain items or rare Skill Chips!
Use standard attacks to knock one or more enemies off their feet. While they recover, hold the R2 button to prepare a Power Strike attack. When the fallen enemy rises, release the R2 button to attack!
If you find yourself unable to defeat commonly encountered enemies, place more red Taijutsu Skill Chips on your Skill Plate. This should boost your attack power enough to even the odds!
If you find yourself running out of medicinal items, you should equip more blue Ninjutsu Skill Chips on your Skill Plate to boost your defense.
High on Shurikens, low on Medicines? Trade in 90 Shurikens for 6 Medicine B items at Emporium Karin's General Store. This is one of the better bargains in the shop. You can always obtain more Shurikens by defeating enemies!
Trying to trade Shurikens for a Medicine A? The best bargain is to trade 52 Shuriken for 13 3-Way Shurikens, and then trade these for a Medicine A.
Boss enemies have some super powerful jutsus! But while they prepare these attacks, they leave themselves open. Move in quickly and strike them while they prepare a jutsu to prevent their attack!
After you complete the game once, save your game and load it to start again. New and rewarding boss enemies appear on the Map Screen!
Chakara Refill Boost:
During the Loading screen if allocated enough time to move the right thumbstick enough in a circle. A Blue Chakara Ball will pop-out and if you notice your unfilled Stamina / Chakara Bar. It will refill a little about 25% worth everytime you do this. Between Loading screens with the Konoha Symboyl in the lower right corner

Dragon Ball Z: Sagas PS2
Area Smash:
When near an area with a lot of rocks or buildings, charge hit or throw an enemy by finishing any kind of combo. If successful you will send him/her soaring right into a obstacle. This will kill the enemy no matter how high their health is.
Defeating Bosses:
When fighting a boss have a special move, teleport, and a good combo selected. Run up to the Boss enough to teleport behind them, then do a combo. When he or she gets thrown away, lock on quickly and hurl a special move to cause maximum damage.
Defeating Cell:
Once in SS1, do only simple combos with a lot of buttons involved. The more buttons the better. Try using the first two combos that you learn. You must have Combo Breaker. Try not to use Ki moves unless you have to; the longer you must charge, the more open you are to attacks.
Defeating Vegeta:
When fighting Vegeta, stay in the air the entire time. Dodge his Galic Guns. When he uses his other attack, it will only affect you if you are on the ground. While that attack occurs, Vegeta will be vulnerable. Lock on to him with L1 and hold Circle to hit him with a Kamehameha Wave. Keep doing this until he is defeated. You should not lose any health by doing this.
Easy Energy Blast Hits:
When fighting a henchmen or Boss, get him within the view of the screen. You can do this when you are on the ground or in the air. Hold Circle. When game play slows down and your character starts charging up a blast, press L1 and put your aiming reticule on your enemy. Press Teleportation (R2). You will teleport directly behind the enemy while you are still charging up. Once you have appeared behind the enemy, immediately release Circle to blast your enemy at point blank range. If you want to be reckless, charge another one after he falls to the ground from the last attack. Teleport behind him and blast him again. You can do this repeatedly. It is easier to do this when the enemy is distracted by charging up his own blast or doing any other attack that he may be trying to perform. Just hit him with this before he can make it successful.
Gohan: Defeating Nappa:
Fly while shooting Mesenkos at Nappa. Nappa will eventually start shooting blasts of energy that paralyze you. Quickly dodge them and fire at him.
Goku: Defeating Freiza:
When fighting Freiza as Goku, you can only hurt him when you are a Super Saiyan. When he charges up his Death Ball, use the Quick Teleport (if purchased) to get to him and deliver the blows to hurt him or charge up your Super Saiyan meter. Try using only punches and kicks, as he will dodge the Kamehame Wave. It will only hit and hurt him if you are Super Saiyan and if done while he is charging up his Death Ball.
Instant Transmission Kamehameha:
To do this, Teleport is required. When you are far away from your opponent, lock on to them and start your special technique. Immediately before you launch it, press R2 to teleport directly next to your opponent. A better way to do this is if you have uppercut; hit you opponent into the air, start your technique, and teleport right next to them. By doing this you will have a clear shot and should not miss. This is a great way to defeat Bosses and can be done be anyone.
Pendulum Mode:
Beat the game once, and you will unlock the Pendulum mode. In this mode, you can replay any chapter you like, with any character you like: including the following hidden ones: Broly, Bardock, Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha.
Teen Gohan: Defeating Perfect Cell:
Keep hitting him until the Ki bar for Super Saiyan is full. Then turn Super Saiyan and keep hitting him until you have filled the Ki bar for Super Saiyan 2. Finally, when you turn Super Saiyan 2 attack Cell with Masenko, but first lock on to him with L1. If he teleports behind you, use a combo. Do not waste your Ki on Cell.
Warp Blast:
When fighting an enemy, you can warp a special move like kamehameha, masenko, galick gun, ect. All you have to is target an enemy with L1. When the arrow is above the enemy continue to hold L1 and then push circle. When everything gets into slow motion, continue to hold L1 and circle and then press R2. You will instantly teleport by the enemy. Then let go of the circle button and you will blast the enemy. This trick is really handy in sticky situations.
Warp Kamekameha:
To do a Warp Kamehameha or any Warp Ki attack, when charging it lock on to your opponent ad teleport.
When near an area with a lot of rocks or buildings, charge hit or throw an enemy by finishing any kind of combo. If successful you will send him/her soaring right into a obstacle. This will kill the enemy no matter how high their health is.

1~. Introduction
After some uninteresting conversions of the series by Bandai, their new
company finally manages to do a better game. Fair enough, it isn't perfect
and doesn't really feel like the old games, but at least it is slightly
better than their previous games. This one also has its flaws, but it is a
start and (hopefully) in the future they will make some better games based
in this very same series.
This guide will try to cover every single aspect of the game, alongside
with some general tips for each match, events for the matches in the story
mode and everything you may want to know about the game.
Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I liked to write it!
2~. Controls
As many other games, this one features a slightly different control scheme
inside and outside of the matches.
Outside of the matches or, even better, in the menus, your controls are:
Directional Keys - move up, right, down or left in the options
START - used only to enter the main menu
SELECT - not used
TRIANGLE - not used
SQUARE - confirms an option
CIRCLE - confirms an option
X - goes back, after making any kind of selection
L1 - not used
L2 - not used
L3 (left analog stick) - move up, right, down or left in the options
R1 - not used
R2 - not used
R3 (right analog stick) - not used
However, when in the middle of the matches, the controls turn out being
slightly different:
Directional Keys - moves your captain up, right, down or left
START - pauses the match, but can't be used in the middle of cutscenes
SELECT - not used
TRIANGLE - if another player from your team currently has the ball, this
key requests them to pass it to your captain. If you hold it
while the opponent has the ball, your captain will move in
their direction
SQUARE - if you don't have the ball, makes your captain perform a tackle
CIRCLE - opens up a menu (if your captain or another player of your team
has the ball) and confirms options in there
X - used to run faster, either if you have the ball or not
L1 - uses a small jump to the left
L2 - not used
L3 (left analog stick) - moves your current captain up, right, down or
left
R1 - uses a small jump to the right
R2 - not used
R3 (right analog stick) - moves your entire team (minus the captain and
the goalkeeper) up, right, down or left . You
will see a small icon on top of the player's
heads when doing so.
Besides these controls, there are also some other things that you may need
to have in mind when controlling your character, most specifically during
the matches.
Looking at the upper corners of the screen, you will not only see some
small icons in there but also two bars. The icons show what kind of
actions a certain player can perform at each given time, and if you want
to perform them, just enter the menu (see the controls stated above) and
do it.
As for the bars, they flash when totally filled and you can obviously see
that each of them can be split up into 3 different sections. Depending in
the current status of those bars, the shots that your characters can use
will be different, for example, you need all 3 levels (and all the bars)
to be filled in order to use Tsubasa and Hyuga's Twin Shot, but
significantely less to use Hyuga's Tiger Shot, or Tsubasa's Drive Shot.
Now, you may be wondering what to do in order to fill such bar; it is
easy, you just need to confront players (keep on reading and you'll
understand it), defend shots or perform tackles, and eventually you will
see your bar filling up.
Besides, there's the detail of "confronting players". Sort of like what
happened in the (awful, I gotta say) "Captain Tsubasa J" for the older
Super Famicom console, several events occur during the matches, when
players (even if they are important ones or not, but you can change this
kind of thing in the in-game options available from the main menu) face
each other. In such cases, each player will be able to press 3 different
keys, which you should try press in the exact moment where the circle,
seen in the lower part of the screen, becomes yellow. If done at the
correct moment, your category will be better (be aware that you may have
"Critical", "Smash", "Good" and "Bad", here stated in decreasing order)
and your opponent's bar will become shorter (or even shatter, granting you
a quick win). At the end, if your bar is longer than your opponent's, you
win the duel. In case they are the same, the ball will just be thrown away
for a while.
Shooting the ball (or defending from a shoot) is done in the exact same
way, with simply requiring you to follow some schemes.
In case you're defending with your goalkeeper, try to follow the very same
keys that your opponent pressed, which will cause a small cutscene and
improve his overall abilities. For example, in the case of the amazing
Wakabayashi, he will show his "S.G.G.K." skills and become even stronger.
By following such sequences you will lower the power of the opponent's
shots, with "0000" (or, merely, 0) being required to fully capture a ball
and lower values (i.e. the ones where the numbers turn red) making it
possible to punch the ball away.
However, if you are shooting at your opponent's goals, there are some
sequences that you may follow, which depend on whatever shot you were
using (all posibilities will be shown in the "Special Moves" section of
this very same guide). By doing so, you will turn that very same move into
an Hyper Shot, a special ability that slightly increases the move's power
and which, eventually, turns out being very important later in the game.
Finally, there's the point of the categories of your moves. Depending on
how good you follow each task, many things may happen, but the most
important one appears with the shots: if you score more than one "Bad",
the ball will either hit the post of just plain leave the field, which
isn't very good, as you may suppose.
That's all for this section, I guess...
3~. Main Menu
In the main menu, you will find the following options:
^
Story Mode
Custom Story Mode
1P Versus CPU Mode
1P Versus 2P Mode
CPU versus CPU Mode
All Star Edit
My Captain
Options
v
As you may see, this layout is really easy to understand. However, since
only 3 of the options are usually seen in the screen and by pressing up
(or down) all the time you'll see the options all over again, it turns out
being slightly harder for non-japanese readers to understand. So, in case
you're having troubles with it, enter an option, see which one that is
(come on, it isn't that hard, is it?) and then compare it to the listing
shown above.
More on each mode can be read in the next sections of this guide.
3.1~. Story Mode
As usual, this turns out being the game's main mode. After entering it,
you will gain access to a list of matches that you can currently face, and
in order to unlock the next one (if any) you need to beat your last
available one. Between matches, you get to see the storyline taken from
the actual anime series, depicted using the game's graphics and in high
quality. The middle of the matches also feature some interesting events,
usually the very same ones that you could see in the series. Most of the
times you can't choose your team (or the people in there) and your players
will depend only in the actual storyline.
As you may suppose, this will be the mode covered in the "Walkthrough",
alongside with the one seen in the next point of the guide.
3.2~. Custom Story Mode
This is a mode not initially available, and in order to gain access to
this option you will need to complete the "Story Mode" and then create
your very same captain in the "My Captain" Mode.
Here, you will face only the same teams that you previously saw in the
"Story Mode", but this time you won't see any new cutscenes or events
during the matches. Instead, the captain of your team will be the guy you
created, and he will learn the main moves of the teams you defeated.
I strongly advise you to edit your team before starting each match, since
the people who created the game just plain exchanged your newly-created
captain with Tsubasa. So, you should just put someone (come on, your
team has a bunch of worthless characters!) out and then put Tsubasa in, as
he generally is a very good help. Besides this small tip, other small
mentions about this mode will be given in each level of the walkthrough.
3.3~. 1P Versus CPU Mode
This mode enables you to pick a team, one for your opponent and simply
play against each other.
As soon as you enter the mode, you will see some options in the left side
of the screen, they are:
Team
Substitution
Captain
Formation
Complete
"Team", when selected and you press LEFT or RIGHT, allows you to change
your selection to a different team. From the first position and continuing
to the right side, the available teams are are Nankatsu, Ohtomo,
Azumaichi, Nishikigaoka, Hanawa, Hirado, Furano, Toho, Japan Jr., Italy
Jr., Argentina Jr., France Jr., Germany Jr., All Star and, finally,
Nankatsu SC.
"Substitution" allows you to switch the players currently in your team.
"Captain" can be used to change the current captain of your team.
"Formation" allows you to change the current scheme for your team.
"Complete" advances to the next screen.
Then, your opponent (which you select later) has to face the very same
options. Next, you reach a screen, where the captains of the two teams are
seen, and you are given these options:
Play Time
Extra Time?
PK?
Balance
Complete
"Play Time" is the option which allows you to set how much time you wanna
play in each part of the match, you can pick 15, 30 or even 35 minutes.
"Extra Time?" and "PK?" let you choose if you want your match to feature
any of those two conditions, if the possibility arises (for example, if
the teams are tied at the end of the match).
"Balance" sort of gives you the option to select the difference of levels
between the two teams, with their sum always needing to be 10. However,
you can select combinations such as "lv. 9 - lv. 1" or "lv. 5 - lv. 5",
apart from some others.
"Complete", well, allows you to continue.
Finally, you get to pick one of the three stadiums available in the game,
the one where you will face your opponent.
In case you're wondering, no, this mode does not allow you to play with
your entire team, and you can only play with your captain, as usual.
3.4~. 1P Versus 2P Mode
This mode enables you to pick two team, requires two controllers, and
allows you and a friend to play against each other.
As soon as you enter the mode, you will see some options in the left and
right sides of the screen, they are:
Then, after both players press "Complete", you will advance to the next
screen, where the captains of the two teams are seen, and you are given
these options:
Play Time
Extra Time?
PK?
Balance
Complete
"Play Time" is the option which allows you to set how much time you wanna
play in each part of the match, you can pick 15, 30 or even 35 minutes.

apart from some others.
"Complete", well, allows you to continue.
Finally, you get to pick one of the three stadiums available in the game,
the one where you will face your opponent.
Here, you can play with the entire team. However, it is a pity that this
turns out being the only mode where you can do it.
3.5~. CPU versus CPU Mode
This mode simply allows you to pick two team and see them facing each
other in a match. As soon as you enter the mode, you will see some
options in the left side of the screen, they are:
Team
Substitution
Captain
Formation
Complete
"Team", when selected and you press LEFT or RIGHT, allows you to change
your selection to a different team. From the first position and continuing
to the right side, the available teams are are Nankatsu, Ohtomo,

"Substitution" allows you to switch the players currently in your team.
"Captain" can be used to change the current captain of your team.
"Formation" allows you to change the current scheme for your team.
"Complete" advances to the next screen.
Then, after selecting "Complete", select the second team and all its
options. Next, you reach a screen, where the captains of the two teams are
seen, and you are given these options:
Play Time
Extra Time?
PK?
Balance
Complete
"Play Time" is the option which allows you to set how much time you wanna
play in each part of the match, you can pick 15, 30 or even 35 minutes.

apart from some others.
"Complete" allows you to continue.
Finally, you get to pick one of the three stadiums available in the game,
the one where you will face your opponent.
Unfortunately, not even this mode allows you to see the game from the
perspective of an outside viewer, making it all really boring.
3.6~. All Star Edit
Unlocked only after you first completed the "Story Mode", this mode
enables you to create one (and only one!) All Star team, using any kind of
players from the teams that you may have previously unlocked. Then, you
can use this team to play in the something-versus-something modes and
nothing else. It is a pity that the didn't allowed players to share their
teams with another players, either by loading teams from the memory card
or using some sort of password mode, but there's nothing we can do about
it. >_< Anyway, the options seen in the menu are:
Team
Remove
Substitution
Captain
Formation
Shirt
Complete
"Team", this time, opens up a menu in the right side, where you can see
several teams and players. Select one of them with the usual key (CIRCLE,
in case you can't remember it) and they will be added to main team of
yours. As before, the available teams (starting from the first position
and continuing to the right side) are Nankatsu, Ohtomo, Azumaichi,
Nishikigaoka, Hanawa, Hirado, Furano, Toho, Japan Jr., Italy Jr.,
Argentina Jr., France Jr., Germany Jr., All Star and also Nankatsu SC.
"Remove" allows you to remove a player from your current team, but will
only work if you currently have more players than required.
"Substitution" can be used to switch the position of two selectable
players in your team.
"Captain" is, once more, used to change the current captain of the team,
and only player that you can control.
"Formation" is used to change the scheme used by your team.
"Shirt" allows you to choose the current clothing that your team will be
wearing in their matches, and you can select one out of 8 different ones.
"Complete" just ends this process and returns you to the main menu, but
be awara that your team isn't magically saved. Instead, you must go to any
of the places where your game is saved and do it.
3.7~. My Captain
After first entering it, you will create your very same character, in a
way that many other sports games allow you to. In the first screen, you
will see the following stats:
Height (120~200 cm)
Body Type (2 different types)
Hair (39 different ones)
Face (10 different ones)
Eyes (28 different ones)
Eyebrows (25 different ones)
Hair Colour (16 different ones)
Skin Colour (8 different ones)
Eye Colour (16 different ones)
Voice (5 different ones)
Complete
None of these characteristics seem to heavily change the gameplay, but we
can't say the same about the next set:
Power (0~150)
Speed (0~150)
Technique (0~150)
???????? (0~150)
Keep (0~150)
Energy (0~150)
Complete
You have up to 450 points to allocate in the different stats. Their
selection is up to you entirely, since it depends on your skills and the
way you play the game. Anyway, finally you will reach a final screen,
where you can pick up the name of your character and confirm it with the
button in the lower left side of the screen.
Then, if you use this mode later on, you'll be confronted with 5 different
choices:
Change Body
Change Stats
Change Name
Undo
Complete
The first three options simply allow you change the previously set
options, the ones stated above. However, that's exactly where "Undo" is
more useful, since it allows you to erase changes that you may have done
BUT only the ones from your current visit to this mode.
Easy, hum?
3.8~. Options
Well, the kind of things that you can usually find in each game. These are
the options available in this one:
Sound
BGM volume
Sound volume
Voice volume
Rumble
Battle Condition
Save
Load
"Sound" appears to be the usual way to change the sound output method, but
I'm afraid I could have mistranslated it.
"BGM volume", "Sound volume" and "Voice volume" simply allow you to adjust
the specific volume of each of those 3 parameters.
"Rumble" lets you set if you want your controller to shake or not.
"Battle Condition" (and yes, I know this is a mistranslation) allows you
to set how many times the "battles" occur, i.e. the confrontations between
two in-field opponents. You can either pick "everyone" (which is the
default condition) or only "captain", which makes only the battles against
your captain occur.
"Save" and "Load" are obvious, they simply allow you to save or load your
game (provided you have a memory card) at any given point in time.
4~. Walkthrough
In the following sections of this guide, you will be able to read several
information about the many teams that you may fight during both the story
modes available in the game.
It will mostly contain information on the important members of each team,
their special moves, what events you can get during each match and,
finally, general strategies to beat those very same matches. In case you
find something not stated in here, feel free to mail me about it.
4.1~. Ohtomo
-------> Important players
3. Nishio
4. Nakayama
9. Nitta
10. Urabe
11. Kishida
-------> Events
1- Advance Tsubasa in the field, and eventually you will see a
confrontation between him and the '4 of Ohtomo'.
2- If Nitta has the ball, have Tsubasa confront him and an event will
happen.
3- Tsubasa's Volley Shot will be used if he is passed the ball, from
behind, when he is in the middle of the field.
4- After 3 (I mean, the event below) occurs, if Nitta receives the ball
in the same conditions as Tsubasa, a new event will be seen.
5- After 4 occurs, if Nitta receives (again) the ball in the same
conditions as Tsubasa.
6- After 5 occurs, Nitta receives (yet again) the ball in the same
conditions as Tsubasa, and he will finally perform his Hayabusha Volley
Shot.
7- Randomly during the match, people may show up and scream "Tsubasa". I
recall Sanae and Katagiri, but maybe they are more.
The match is not very hard, but you may be put into trouble if you are
just getting started to this game. Apart from their appearance in event
number 1, the '4 of Ohtomo' are not even very good, and Tsubasa (and the
rest of the team) can surpass them. Try shooting with Tsubasa and Kisugi,
taking the ball from Nitta as soon as possible (he is the strongest
striker here, for obvious reasons) and you will probably do just fine.
In case you are wondering on tips on how to easily achieve event number 3,
I think I can give you a small tip: when Morisaki catches the ball, move
Tsubasa to the center of field and then ask for Morisaki to throw you the
ball, which will (if done correctly) start the stated event.
In case you beat this team in "Custom Story Mode", the player you created
in "My Captain" Mode will acquire a useful Hayabusha Shot.
4.2~. Azumaichi
-------> Important players
7. Souda
-------> Events
1- If Tsubasa has the ball (outside of the penalty area) and Souda
confronts him, an event with Kamisori Tackle will happen.
2- If the opponent's TP (you know, the silly bar seen in the upper right
corner of the screen!) is above 2 and Souda has the ball in your half
of the field, he may use Kamisori Shot.
3- After 2 occurs and Souda has the ball in your side of the field, he may
use a Reverse Kamisori Shot.
4- After 3 occurs, use Tsubasa's Overhead Shoot inside the goal area and
Souda may interfere, which will cause a new event.
Their goalkeeper is slightly stronger than the one of your previous
opponent but, with some effort, you can overcome it. You just need to be
careful with Souda and his strong Kamisori moves (either the tackle or the
shots), strike with Tsubasa, Kisugi and Izawa and eventually you will beat
the team.
Events 1 and 4 are easy to spot, but the other two are mostly random.
Therefore, you may have to try the match several times before you can spot
them.
By beating this team in "Custom Story Mode", your created player will
acquire Kamisori Shot.
4.3~. Nishikigaoka
-------> Important players
?. ?????????
?. ?????????
-------> Events
1- If a certain player confronts Tsubasa when he has the ball, this event
will occur.
2- If Tsubasa confronts a certain player when the opponent has the ball,
this event will occur.
3- If a certain character has the ball and the opponent's TP is more than
2, Dragon Shot may be used.
4- If a certain character has the ball and the opponent's TP is more than
2, a different Dragon Shot may be used.
I don't know much about this team (or, most specifically, their players)
since this team is hardly unknown in the manga, and Nankatsu even beats
them by 6-0. Strangely, in this game they turn out being quite poweful,
with their Dragon Shot having nothing to envy to the amazing Fire Shot,
seen much later in the game. Try to strike as much as possible and score
mostly with Tsubasa and Kisugi, but be aware that you may need to repeat
this match a few times before you can finally win it.
Once more, some events here revolve around luck, most specifically 3 and
4. So, you may have trouble getting them.
By beating this team in "Custom Story Mode", your created player seems not
to learn any kind of new Shots. What? You wanted a way too overpowered
Dragon Shot? >_>
4.4~. Hanawa
-------> Important players
9. Tachibana
10. Tachibana
-------> Events
1- If both Masao and Kazuo are near your goals, they may use Triangle
Shot.
2- After 1 occurs, if one of the Tachibana twins is inside the penalty
area and they receive a pass, they may use Skylab Hurricane.
3- After 2, if they use Skylab Hurricane, Tsubasa is nearby and more than
20 minutes of the first half passed by, a new event may occur.
4- Near the end of the match (maybe last 15 minutes?), if Tsubasa gets
the ball in the middle of your opponent's field, he may use (and fail
:P) a Drive Shot.
5- If the Tachibana are near each other in your field, they may use their
very own Twin Shot.
Weak team, provided you can keep them away from your goal area. Then,
strike as much as possible and, even if you are scored with the powerful
Skylab Hurricane, you won't have to fear your opponent.
Some events here are hard to spot, but you may come here later if you want
to see them, since keeping Tsubasa near the goals just for getting event
number 3 is sort of not worth it.
As you may suppose, by beating this team in "Custom Story Mode" you won't
get any special shots. The only one that you could possibly learn here was
Skylab Hurricane, and since there's no way that your player can use it
alone, such hypothesis is just ridiculous.
4.5~. Hirado
-------> Important players
5. Jitou
16. Sano
-------> Events
1- If you use Drive Shot (yes, Tsubasa can finally use it!), a small event
will happen.
2- After 1 occurs, using Drive Shot will lead to another event.
3- After 2 occurs, using Drive Shot (yet again!) will lead to a bigger
event, which this time needs your full interaction.
Considering that you only have half the time, in this match, to make up
from a 3-0 score, your main problem is probably TIME. Strike with the
entire team, being specially careful with Jitou (his Power Defense is
currently too powerful) and unleashing each Drive Shot as quickly as you
can.
All the events in here are almost set, if you want to win the match. Just
use the 3 Drive Shots and then try really hard to score a forth goal, even
if it means to go on extra time.
By beating this team in "Custom Story Mode", you don't seem to unlock
anything at all.
4.6~. Furano
-------> Important players
10. Matsuyama
-------> Events
1- If Tsubasa has the ball and he confronts Matsuyama, this event will
occur.
2- If the opponent's TP is more than 2, Matsuyama may use his Eagle Shot.
3- After 2 occurs, if Matsuyama is nearby and you use a Drive Shot, a new
event will happen.
4- After 3 occurs, when there is less than 20 minutes for the game to end,
use Phoenix Drive Shot and a new event may happen, but only in certain
conditions (yes, I have yet to figure those out >_< ).
Your main problem here is that Matsuyama has a strong tackle, and since he
will be marking Tsubasa, you may have trouble in following your usual
attack scheme. So, be careful with this detail, try passing the ball to
the other elements of your team as soon as possible and score with any of
them. Tsubasa may also be used as a backup to strike but only inside their
goal area, which usually prevents them from blocking your shot.
Most events in here are hard to spot, and mostly require a lot of luck
from you. You may need several times before being able to see them all.
By beating the match in "Custom Story Mode", your character will learn the
powerful Eagle Shot.
4.7~. Toho
-------> Important players
GK. Wakashimazu
9. Sorimachi
10. Hyuga
11. Sawada
-------> Events
1- As soon as the match starts, you will see an event where Hyuga uses his
Tiger Shot.
2- After Tsubasa first uses his Drive Shot, you will see an event.
3- Hyuga strikes his Tiger Shot (may occur randomly), another event
happens.
4- Tsubasa uses a second Drive Shot, new event happens.
5- After events 3 and 4 occur, pass the ball from Izawa to Tsubasa inside
the goal area and this event will happen.
6- When Toho is winning by more than 2 goals, this may happen, an event
with Hyuga's "V for Victory" (this time, with a different ending :P).
7- After 3 and 4 occur, pass the ball to Kisugi from Tsubasa, inside the
goal area, in order for Wakashimazu to use Shutou Defense.
8- After the end of the first half, if Tsubasa uses his Overhead Shot an
event may happen.
9- In the second half, if Tsubasa and Hyuga are in front of each other in
the middle of the field and he uses Tiger Shot, Tsubasa may counter it.
10- After 9 occurs, if Tsubasa is inside the opponent's side of the field
and strikes Drive Shot with Hyuga nearby, the event with Tsubasa and
Hyuga countering each other will happen.
11- After 10 occurs and there are only 15 minutes to play in the second
half, if Tsubasa receives the ball in the middle of the field, he may
use Miracle Drive Shot.
12- After 10 occurs and there are only 15 minutes to play in the second
half (or if you are in extra time), Hyuga may use his Tiger Overhead
Shot.
Strangely, beating this team is not even very hard; your main problem may
be the one of scoring goals to Wakashimazu, since he is the strongest
goalkeeper you've faced this far. Strike only with Tsubasa, use the events
to your own advantage and be aware of Hyuga's powerful Tiger Overhead
Shot, since it may put you into trouble. However, if you try to keep the
ball away from Hyuga as much as possible, you'll avoid all trouble.
While it is hard to spot all the events in a single match, that's indeed
possible.
By beating this team in "Custom Story Mode", your created player will
acquire the amazing Tiger Shot.
4.8~. Italy Jr.
-------> Important players
GK. Hernandez
-------> Events
1- Simply shoot the ball to the opponent's goals (using other than
Tsubasa's Drive Shot), an event will happen.
2- After 1 occurs and you've shot more than 3 times, a new event with
Roberto will happen.
3- If 1 occurs and you've shot more than 5 times without scoring, a new
event happens.
4- After 3 occurs and there's some sort of stop in the game (for example,
due to an offside, a corner, a goal or even a goal kick), Misaki will
join your team.
5- After 3 and 4 occurs and Tsubasa or Misaki receive the ball near the
center of the field, they may use their Golden Combination.
6- When the game is in the second half and the ball is punched away by the
opponent goalkeeper, if Hyuga is near the goal area he may use his Neo
Tiger Shot.
This is a really easy match. Your biggest problem will probably be the one
of scoring to one of the best goalkeepers in the game, but keep on trying
with Tsubasa, Hyuga and Misaki's strongest attacks and eventually you will
manage to do it.
Your only problem here is probably spotting event number 6, since it
requires a lot of luck.
As you may suppose, beating this team in "Custom Story Mode" does not
unlock any kind of special moves for your character, since there isn't
even anyone in the opponent team that has them.
4.9~. Argentina Jr.
-------> Important players
10. Diaz
12. Pascual
-------> Events
1- If Diaz receives the ball when in the japanese part of the field, he
may use an Overhead Shot.
2- If Diaz is passed the ball inside the japanese goal area, he may use
Zenten Shot.
3- In the first half, Diaz may randomly use Drive shot.
4- If Tsubasa has the ball and he confronts Diaz, an event will happen.
5- In the second half or later, if Tsubasa is in the argentinian field,
Hyuga is in front of him and Tsubasa receives the ball, an event with
Drive pass to Tiger Shot will happen.
6- After 5 occurs, if the Tachibana Twins are near the opponent's goal
area and Tsubasa receives a pass, they may perform Skylab Twin Shot,
but they'll have to leave the field after it.
7- If Tsubasa and Hyuga are near each other and Hyuga receives the ball,
an event may happen.
8- If Tsubasa and Hyuga are near the opponent's area, Matsuyama is behind
them and he receives the ball, an event will happen.
9- If the ball leaves the field near the end of the second half, Misugi
will be put into play.
10- If Misugi is in the field, Tsubasa and Diaz are nearby and Tsubasa
receives the ball, an event will occur.
Unlike what happened in the series, this match in the game here is quite
easy, if you try to take the ball away from Diaz as soon as possible. The
other players (and even Pascual!) don't pose you much of a trouble, so
you can simply ignore them and have Wakashimazu easily defend their shots.
Most events here are easy to spot, I doubt you'll have any problems with
them.
After beating this match in "Custom Story Mode", your character will
finally learn the Drive Shot.
4.10~. France Jr.
-------> Important players
10. Pierre
20. Napoleon
-------> Events
1- If Tsubasa receives the ball near the center of the field, an event
will happen.
2- After 1 occurs, if Hyuga is behind Tsubasa and he receives the ball,
an even with Tiger Pass to Drive Shot will happen.
3- In the first half, if Napoleon has the ball and he is near the penalty
area, Souda will eventually receive a yellow card.
4- After 3 occurs, if Napoleon has the ball and he is near the penalty
area, Souda will receive a red card.
5- When Pierre shoots, he may sometimes use his Slider Shot.
6- After 1 occurs, Tsubasa confronting Pierre while having the ball makes
a new event appear.
7- After 1 occurs and Hyuga is just behind Tsubasa, if your captain
receives the ball, an event may happen.
8- If Tsubasa confronts Pierre (yes, again!), an event will occur.
9- If the ball leaves the field in the second half, Misugi may join your
current team.
10- In the second half, if either Pierre or Napoleon are in your side of
the field and one of them receives the ball, they may perform their
Eiffel Tower combination.
11- In the second half, if Misaki receives the ball in the opponent's
field, there will be a new event.
12- After 11 occurs, if Tsubasa and Misaki are near each other in the
opponent's field and one of them receives the ball, they may perform
their Twin Shot.
13- In the second half, if Napoleon has the ball and Hyuga is near, while
both of them are in Japan's field, an event will happen.
Here, you can usually use the events to score some easy goals to the
opponent team, and I strongly advise you to try getting the event where
Misugi joins the field, since he is a powerful ally. As for striking, you
can mostly go for Tsubasa and Hyuga and their strongest shots, since they
are the best you have by now.
Events 3, 4, 5 and 13 are slightly hard to spot, and since there's no
special technique to do it, your best bet is... mere luck. You may be
required to try it several times, but there's not much I can advise you
about it.
After beating this match in "Custom Story Mode", your character will be
able to perform both the Cannon Shot and the Slider Shot, which is always
nice, I guess!
4.11~. Germany Jr.
-------> Important players
GK. Muller
11. Schneider
-------> Events
1- If Tsubasa performs a shot, an event will occur.
2- If Schneider shots, you will see an event with Wakabayashi.
3- After 1 occurs, if Hyuga performs a shot, another event will occur.
4- After 3 occurs, if Tsubasa shoots, another event will occur.
5- After 4 occurs and the ball is shot by either Tsubasa or Hyuga, there
will be yet another event.
6- After 5 occurs, if Hyuga shoots a new event will occur, which
eventually leads to a goal and grants you the ability to try scoring
goals to Muller.
7- After 6 occurs and you are in the second half of the game, if Misaki
and Tsubasa are near each other and Misaki receives the ball, this
event will happen.
When you actually know what to do around here, your match turns out being
quite easy; your main problem will probably be the one of scoring a goal
to Muller, since he won't even display his defensive points. So, you can
either score a goal by dribbling him (which is REALLY hard) or spot events
1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the above list. By doing so, you will not only score
your first goal, but also enable you from scoring many others.
Apart from that, just try to defend with your entire team and be specially
careful with the Germany Kaiser, Karl Heinz Schneider, since his special
shots (specifically, his Fire Shot and Non Fire) are too strong.
Here, events 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are easy to spot, or else you would be
serious trouble. While event 2 depends only on your luck, the 7th one is
slightly harder to get, and you may have to try it some times.
After beating this match in "Custom Story Mode", your character will
finally be able to use the Fire Shot, one of the most powerful ones
available in the game.
And that's all for the story modes in this game. Way too short, I guess...
5~. Special Moves
Here, I'll list the combinations of 3 keys that you need to press in order
to increase the power of each shot. This listing starts by stating the
ones that require a single character, then the ones that require more than
one character (such as the Twin Shot) and, finally, the ones that your
created character, made up in the "My Captain" Mode, can learn.
Strong Shot (everyone) - TRIANGLE , CIRCLE , X
Volley Shot (everyone) - CIRCLE, X , TRIANGLE

And that's all for the special shots!
FAQ~. Frequently Asked Questions
Here, you will be able to read the answer to some important questions that
people may have about the game.
Q: What's the music heard before starting the game?
A: That's "Moete Hero", the opening song heard in the japanese version of
the first Captain Tsubasa anime.
Q: Can my created captain's team play against one created by a friend of
mine?
A: No, unfortunately you can't do that kind of thing in this game.
Q: Is there any in-game way to figure out the motions needed for the Hyper
Shots?
A: As far as I've noticed, no. A rumor claims that you'd get them by
completing all the events available in each match, but when trying to
confirm it, it just seemed to be a false statement.
Q: So, where did you get those motions?
A: They were all, alongside with the storyline events, translated from
this game's oficial website, as stated in the credits.
Q: Why didn't you translated the storyline?
A: Well, mostly because it is just like the anime. However, I may consider
doing it, in the future.
Q: How can I use the special passes/dribbles/combinations, outside of the
story mode?
A: You just can't. Most of them are story events and nothing else, and so,
they aren't even usable.
Q: Will you ever translate ALL the players included in the game?
A: I doubt it, unless A LOT of people wanted it. Most players are slightly
unimportant and nobody actually cares about them. As for the most
important ones, their shirt number is stated next to their proper team,
when talking about it in the "Walkthrough" section of this guide.

Team
Substitution
Captain
Formation
Complete
"Team", when selected and you press LEFT or RIGHT, allows you to change
your selection to a different team. From the first position and continuing

Then, after both players press "Complete", you will advance to the next
screen, where the captains of the two teams are seen, and you are given
these options:
Play Time
Extra Time?
PK?
Balance

Here, you can play with the entire team. However, it is a pity that this
turns out being the only mode where you can do it.
3.5~. CPU versus CPU Mode
This mode simply allows you to pick two team and see them facing each
other in a match. As soon as you enter the mode, you will see some
options in the left side of the screen, they are:
Team
Substitution

Formation
Complete
"Team", when selected and you press LEFT or RIGHT, allows you to change

Azumaichi, Nishikigaoka, Hanawa, Hirado, Furano, Toho, Japan Jr., Italy
Jr., Argentina Jr., France Jr., Germany Jr., All Star and, finally,
Nankatsu SC.
"Substitution" allows you to switch the players currently in your team.
"Captain" can be used to change the current captain of your team.
"Formation" allows you to change the current scheme for your team.
"Complete" advances to the next screen.
4.1~. Ohtomo
-------> Important players
3. Nishio
4. Nakayama
9. Nitta
10. Urabe
11. Kishida
-------> Events
4.2~. Azumaichi
-------> Important players
7. Souda
-------> Events
-------> Important players
?. ?????????
?. ?????????
-------> Events
4.4~. Hanawa
-------> Important players
9. Tachibana
10. Tachibana
-------> Events
4.5~. Hirado
-------> Important players
5. Jitou
16. Sano
-------> Events
4.6~. Furano
-------> Important players
10. Matsuyama
-------> Events
4.7~. Toho
-------> Important players
GK. Wakashimazu
9. Sorimachi
10. Hyuga
11. Sawada
-------> Events
4.8~. Italy Jr.
-------> Important players
GK. Hernandez
-------> Events
-------> Important players
10. Diaz
12. Pascual
-------> Events
4.10~. France Jr.
-------> Important players
10. Pierre
20. Napoleon
-------> Events
4.11~. Germany Jr.
-------> Important players
GK. Muller
11. Schneider
-------> Events
